Michael Gerard will explore policy-making at the intersection of urgent environmental concerns and long-term energy demands. His remarks will address the makeup of the new Congress and the likelihood of effective climate change action in Washington this year.

Gerard is Andrew Sabin Professor of Professional Practice at Columbia Law School where he teaches courses on environmental and energy law and directs the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law.
